RULES FOR WATERCRAFT ON HOA beachfront

1. Boat fees:

10-foot spaces ‐ $480/year (spaces #1, #2, #3 for boats less than 9' wide)

Kayaks ‐ $30/year

Stand Up Paddle Boards (SUPs) - $30/year

2. Current California boat vessel registration is required – All boats stored on the sand only. All other boats, kayaks, and SUPs must have a Bay Scene annual sticker affixed to the hull in a visible position.

Bay Scene beachfront will be periodically checked for current registration. (Applies to vessel types and sizes for which California requires registration.)

3. Boat size width on beachfront sand boat spaces is 4 feet to 9 feet minimum/maximum as appropriate for size of space available. Maximum length: 20 feet.

4. All boats must be at least one foot smaller in width than the space assigned. Space locations are shown in the layout below..

5. Assigned space must be occupied by a boat within two months of the space being rented; otherwise the space will be reassigned to the first person on the waitlist and the annual fee will be refunded on a pro-rated basis. If there is no waitlist, the space will be assigned to the first person requesting a space.

6. Beachfront sand boat spaces are intended only for watercraft that, when disassembled, will not fit into the kayak racks.

7. Boats must be centered and slightly behind the numbered secured chain for that space, and boats must be chained only to the numbered chain (i.e., no chaining to the front wall).

8. Any boat equipment such as catamaran wheels must be positioned within the assigned space and behind the chain anchor.

9. Boat owners are to maintain their spaces and boats in an esthetically pleasing manner (i.e., no torn plastic covers, etc.).

10. Violation of the above rules will be handled according to HOA practices. (Warning letter, fine, and/or termination of space rental as appropriate.)
